Does Target miss us as much as we miss Target?
We've had so much fun photographing these sessions, and every family has had a story to tell, so we decided to do a little interview with each family and post it with our image spotlights.
Meet the Barlow Family!
What was your favorite thing about your session?
- We love to laugh. Even posing, we try not to be too serious. Sandy laughed along with us and we loved it!
What was your favorite activity during quarantine?
- Finishing much needed projects around the house!
What was your least favorite thing about quarantine?
- I sure do miss mindlessly browsing around Target - haha
What was your favorite thing to snack on?
- Chocolate!!!!
What are some things you did to help you feel connected with others?
- Lots of Zooming, FaceTime, drive by’s, walk by’s and bike by’s!!
What is your favorite memory from quarantine?
- I am an Elementary Art Teacher and have not seen the kids since March. I opened my front door one afternoon and one of my students had painted a large rock for me and left it on my porch. It was such a heartwarming moment, I was truly touched.
What are you most excited to do after the restrictions are lifted?
- We are missing parents and grandparents a lot. We are excited to hug them and spend time together!
What have you learned?
- It’s okay to be nervous, relaxed, joyful and frustrated all in a small space of time. And it’s important to feel all of those things. Being human is what we should be every day. This too shall pass...
What are you most thankful for about this time?
- We are getting back time as a family that we sometimes took for granted. This time is emphasizing and reminding us about what we are thankful for as a family!
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
- These pictures mean so many things...a time when life slowed down for the better, a time in history that my young kids will talk about with their kids in the future, a time that was difficult and scary and hard to understand, and most of all a time that we once again hugged each other a little tighter and knew the importance of having each other.
