VIP: We will do our best to be within 15 min (before or after) of your scheduled session time. We will text you about 10 min before we will get there and once we arrive, we will immediately start shooting.
YOUR DONATION: We will be quickly collecting either canned food donations or cash donations before the session. If you are providing food please have it in a bag we can put in our cars and if you are providing cash or check please put it in an envelope with your name on the outside.
LIGHTING: Although we can work in any light, it is always best to have the sun behind you if it is a bright day so that your eyes don't squint. If your front porch is in direct sunlight, have a backup plan to maybe go to the back porch.
DECORATE: It is a good idea to look at the area that we will shoot and spruce it up. Flower pots, the American flag, or fun pillows can add color. You may want to rinse off the sidewalk or porch to give it a fresh clean look too.
CLOTHING: Anything goes with clothing. Sweatpants and tie-dye to black tie and heels. We want this to be YOUR version of your reality and the more you plan the better it will be.
PROPS: Posters, signs, toys, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, technology, fun hats, hula hoops - literally anything goes! Be sure that you have a clear idea of what you will be holding or doing and practice a few times to be sure the whole family knows what their part is! Have all of the props ready to go in one spot to keep us on time.
IDEAS: We have created this Pinterest page to help with ideas. We cant wait to see what you do! https://www.pinterest.com/sandypuc/porch-portraits/
1. An image behind glass - Either at the front door or in a window that we can see from the street. This can be a serious shot or funny faces but make sure everyone is on the same page.
2. Porch shot - This image will be taken on your porch or steps. This is a family hug, cuddles, laughter, and fun. Pets are welcome too!
3. Yard shot - This image is pulled back and can be on the lawn, driveway, porch, etc. If you have an idea, props, etc. have them ready to go. (Practice before we arrive too).
4. Individuals, couples, siblings, etc. - If time allows we will do breakdowns to add variety.
5. Anything goes - If we have time and you have one more quick idea, we will do it. This can be jumping, running, laughing or silly shot. Keep in mind that when our timer goes off, we have to leave.
We are SO excited about the opportunity and we can't wait to see what you come up with. If you have any questions you can text Sandy's personal cell phone at any time. 303-618-0297
